The credentials of our Associates are at the core of our success. And when you check out our Associates qualifications and awards , you’ll discover that not only are they well qualified but also, that they are respected and competent marketers in their own right.

A peak into Marian’s CV reveals:

Academic qualifications: an MA Marketing with Distinction, the CIM Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing, as well as Education and Digital Marketing qualifications too.

During that time, she headed up strategic marketing consultancy projects for public sector organisations and eCommerce Knowledge Transfer Programmes with private B2B sector organisations. Additional experiences include retail and marketing management roles as well as several voluntary roles on Boards of Trustees.

CIM Appointments

Marian has been appointed to the role of Vice Chair on the CIM Ireland Board, having been an active board member, for the past three year, as Fellows Ambassador. It was her creative thinking that led to several iniatives to promote the CIM Studying Member community in Ireland, including the Celebratory Lunch for CIM Graduates and the CIM Ireland Marketing Club. As Vice Chair, she is keen to explore opportunities to grow the CIM marketing community in Ireland.

We should point out, Marian’s relationship with the CIM goes back a long way! From leading the CIM accreditation for the advertising and marketing undergraduate programmes at the Magee campus of UU through to mentoring winning teams as part of the CIM Student Pitch NI competitions! In 2017, Marian was appointed as a CIM Examiner and until recently was a Level 6 Assessment Writer too!

Founding a CIM Study Centre

After leaving UU, Marian was determined to continue her passion for Marketing Education by opening a CIM accredited study centre to ensure the professional development needs of local marketers were met. The establishment of NW School of Marketing meant that anyone who wanted to study for a professional qualification in marketing, could do so, without having to travel too far from home. Three years later, and we welcome candidates come from all over the UK and Ireland!

Training, Consultancy and Workshops, Consultancy

Marian heads up all of our professional training and consultancy activities, from the design and delivery of workshops (eg Email Marketing for Women in Business) to several Speaker and Guest Lecturer engagements (eg Future of Marketing Conference). In 2019, Marian established our own, Social Media and Digital Marketing workshop series with participants from a range of sectors including B2B, Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Event Management and Voluntary Sectors.
